MTTU IV provides high quality State Certified (ILETSB) training courses to its member agencies. The training provided is a reflection of requests submitted by the MTTU IV Advisory Board, whether it is from the annual Needs Assessment Survey, or through special requests from our member agencies. Additional training provided is a result of required mandatory police training & administrative requirements set forth by the Illinois Law Enforcement Training & Standards Board. Our priority is to present a diversity of topics that are trending and current. We also search for instructors who are experienced in the field in which they teach with remarkable teaching ability.

Cost is always important and as a general rule, high cost courses are not always the best fit for desired training. MTTU IV attempts to get the most reasonable price for training while not compromising the quality. Sharing courses with other MTU’s is very common and encouraged by MTTU IV. By doing so, sharing increases the number of officers trained, reduces cancellations, and reduces costs.
